If you love creating your own pigments for your artistic endeavors, Novaplex by Nova Color should be a staple in your creative toolkit.
What is Novaplex? It’s a perfectly creamy fluid medium that you can use to create stunning pigments. It’s the ideal mix of binder and water that makes creating pigments a breeze or it can be used to thicken acrylics and make them more flexible for fabric painting.
Novaplex is not a topcoat. Rather, it should be used as a medium to extend your acrylics or create unique pigments of your own. When working with Nova Plex, it’s important to apply it in thin layers to avoid cracking and ensure it dries glossy and clear. Using too much Novaplex or brushing the product too much can make it appear cloudy.
If you want to thin Novaplex to create more liquid acrylics and washes, dilute it with a little bit of water. This medium is naturally creamy and a great adhesive, so adding too much water can result in poor adhesion.
